In a rundown underground bar, five strangers simultaneously clash and bond over their mutual dislikes of the modern world. Metropolitan cities, millenial fashion, table service, anything and everything. As the night unfolds, secrets unravel, including a scandalous photo that could ruin lives. What starts as a simple night out spirals into a mess of blackmail, revelations, and a brush with death that no one saw coming. "Dirty People" isn’t just about the dirty deeds and words of its characters; it’s about what happens when the facades are stripped away. Fast-paced and sharp-tongued, this play holds up a mirror to the chaos of contemporary life and the lengths we go to hide our selves. With four star seasons in both Sydney (2016) and Perth (2017), Dirty People is a snapshot of a self-obsessed generation beneath a gritty surface.
